Does Robert Hofmann GmbH work on weapons?
No. We exclusively manufacture non-lethal components for platform, protection and integration systems. Our ethical policy clearly defines the boundaries with regard to effect systems.
What types of components are permitted?
Platform, structural, protective and integration components as well as passive housings and support systems without functional relevance to effect systems.
How is compliance with the ethical policy ensured?
All defence projects undergo a documented pre-assessment. Borderline cases are approved by management and shareholders. The evaluation continues throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Robert Hofmann GmbH is a company that historically was not active as a supplier of the armaments industry. We continue not to participate in the planning, development or manufacture of weapons. Our involvement is exclusively limited to military systems that serve defence purposes. Military companies and armaments companies are welcome to contact us. Prior to cooperation, we always examine whether the requested service could conflict with our ethical policy.
As an industrial company established for decades, we also recognize the growing importance of the defence sector, where topics such as armaments and defence have gained increasing relevance. Our focus is not on armaments as an end in itself, but rather on defence with system – based on reliability and without the risk of supply chain disruptions, as we operate within the Euro area. As a German company, we stand ready as a responsible partner.
